We affirm Jonathan’s calling, giftedness, and growing passion to serve and minister to the residents of the downtown Eastside of Vancouver (DTES), those who are least served by our society and churches – the homeless, the poor, those who are caught in various addictive lifestyles.  The purpose of Jon’s ministry is to bring the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ in tangible, concrete, and relational ways to the residents of the DTES and to be a resource person in the area of ministries of justice, compassion, and urban inner city missions for churches in the LPD and churches outside LPD.

DESIGNATED GIFT POLICY
Spending of funds is confined to the Lower Pacific District Board approved programs and projects. Each restricted contribution designated towards an board-approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that, when the need for such a program or project has been met or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the Lower Pacific District, the remaining designated contributions  will be used where needed most. Further designation of funds within board approved programs is not considered another designation but remains as one fund and used for priority expenses when funds are low.
