Jorge and Emily Lin share a passion to plant a church to reach the people of our multi-cultural region.
They come by this calling somewhat naturally. Jorge is an Argentine–Taiwanese-Canadian, and presents in himself the diversity of language and culture that they hope for in a church plant. While Emily is a “third generation Christian,” Jorge has moved from his heritage in Buddhism to the Christian faith through a friends and a series of profound encounters with God, leading to a “mathematical” conclusion that God is real. Such a background will serve well in relating to others in a church plant that is to be composed of those from different cultures and ethnicities, as is envisioned.
Jorge and Emily have been appointed Church Planting Missionaries by our Lower Pacific Board, commencing on June 1, 2018. They will be entering a residency program in New Westminster, where they will both serve and be equipped to launch a church plant in the near future.
