It’s Friday!
I am on the road again this weekend to the Island, maybe to visit your church. I am excited! My ferry tickets are purchased, my bags are packed, my spotify playlist is ready to go, and I have a bunch of great audiobooks and podcasts lined up. I look forward to connecting with friends and church families that I have not seen for a while, to see how they are doing but also to get a sense of what their needs are or what they are wrestling with and how I can best come alongside them. This is what I love doing 😊. Josephine is off to sail the high seas for the next couple of weeks as she enjoys some well earned time off on vacation. Pray for great adventures and rest for her 🚢
There is a bunch of great stuff happening on the Island this month so if you are in the area connect with one of these great events. Of course, it goes without saying, please pray for these events and the impact on their various communities. Pray for God’s blessing on those that attend and that the Holy Spirit would draw folk in.
Rick & Sandy McAllister are hosting a marriage event at Nanoose Bay this Friday and Saturday. Both myself and Nathan & Amber Kinsey are participating and you are certainly invited!
ISLAND PASTORS! Lunch next Wednesday (25th Sept) at 11:30am at Wildwood Church in Bowser. The district would love to buy you pizza. I look forward to connecting with you – This is one of those very few opportunities we have to get together and to fellowship and pray for one another so be sure to mark it on your calendar.
Osa, a church planter from UK|Nigeria based in Victoria, is speaking at a revival event on 5th October at ‘Divinity and Reality of Jesus Church’ (based at Parkdale) in Victoria – Pray for the event’s success and the holy Spirit’s anointing and blessing on Osa and the other speakers as they preach the Gospel and reach out to their community.
The Wildwood Gospel Band are having an outreach concert to the community of Bowser on September 28 at Wildwood Community Church. Great music, the Gospel, and of course, great people – this is going to be a great event so if you are in the area plan on attending.
And then kudos to Johnston Heights Church and Town and Field who both had Baptism services on September Fall Kick Off weekend. I will have photos and more information in our Buzzline newsletter at the end of the month.
